-The DUTCH POLO TOUR is a selection of premium polo tournaments in The
Netherlands!
-The Dutch Polo Tour is divided into
3 leagues. The BRONZE LEAGUE
from handicap -4-0. The SILVER LEAGUE from handicap 1-4 and the GOLD LEAGUE
from handicap 5-8 .
-Polopoints are awarded only to poloplayers who are a member of a Dutch polo club.
-The polopoints are awarded as follows.
Every polotournaments handicap point up equals 20 polopoints. A handicap -2
polotournament is good for 60 polopoints for every poloplayer in the winning team, a
handicap 0 polotournament equals 100 polopoints and a handicap 6 polotournament equals
220 polopoints.
-The winners of a 0 goal polotournament will all get 100 polopoints (100%).
The runners up will all receive 50 polopoints (50%), the third place
poloteamplayers will all get 25 polopoints (25%) and the rest of the
participating poloplayers with all get 10 polopoints (10%).
-When only 3 teams participate, the maximum amount of polopoints is that of
the second place. When only 2 teams participate, the maximum of polopoints
is that of the third place.
-If a position is shared, points will be divided between the poloplayers according to the
amount of chukkers played.
-As of 2012, poloteams who do not follow the tournament teamhandicap rules
will be excluded for polopoints as if their team did not enter the
tournament.
-At the end of the poloseason we will have the Best Player of the Bronze,
Silver and Gold League
and the Polo Player of the Year.
